IDF WDS 2025 Abstract and Poster Guidelines
Abstracts and posters for the IDF World Dairy Summit 2025 will be categorized into two main types:
- Research/Scientific
- Commercial Products, Methods, Tools, Services
Abstracts can only be submitted through the eAbstract online platform.
Categories of Interest
Focus on the microbiological safety and quality of milk and dairy products.
Methods for assessing chemical contamination, quality, and compositional parameters of milk and dairy products.
New developments in human nutrition and health, with a special emphasis on exploring the dairy sector's potential to address malnutrition in all its forms and contribute to food security.
Innovations in animal health, nutrition, and welfare, with implications for production and disease prevention.
Topics related to farm economics, management, human resources, and the role of farms in sustainable food systems.
Scientific, microbiological, biochemical, and technological aspects of processing, packaging, storage, and distribution of dairy products, including innovations and process optimization.
Strategies to improve sustainability, enhance energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water, and lower operational costs for dairy farms and processors.
Economic and statistical analysis of the global dairy sector, including factors driving dairy consumption and the use of artificial intelligence for strategic promotion of dairy products.
General Specifications for Abstracts and Poster Preparation
Create an author account on the platform eABSTRACT
Once the account is created, log in as an author to submit the abstract. Posters can be submitted during the second stage.
Abstracts and posters must be written in English
- Abstracts should not exceed 300 words (excluding the title, author names, and affiliations).
Abstracts and posters will be published exactly as submitted; no changes will be allowed after the deadline
Process deadlines are available at www.idfwds2025.com
Titles must not exceed 15 words and should be written in uppercase
Include the names and affiliations of all authors.
The name and email of the poster representative attending the IDF World Dairy Summit in Santiago, Chile, must be underlined and listed first.
- For Research/Scientific Abstracts: The abstract must include the following clearly separated sections:
- Introduction/Context
- Objective
- Materials and Methods
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion/Perspectives
- For Commercial Products, Methods, Tools, or Services Abstracts: The structure is flexible but should include a problem statement and insights gained from the work.
Relevant Information
Once you create your account and register as an author, you automatically accept the terms and conditions for the submission and presentation of abstracts and posters at IDF WDS 2025.
Terms and Conditions
1. By submitting an abstract, you agree to comply with all outlined provisions.
2. The Abstract Review Committee's decision regarding acceptance or rejection is final and will be communicated via the www.eabstract.cl platform.
3. Abstracts must not have been presented at any previous IDF World Dairy Summit or similar events.
4. Authors are solely responsible for any intellectual property claims related to their submissions. By submitting, authors agree to indemnify the organizers
against any such claims.
5. Submission implies consent for IDF FIL to publish the poster at the Summit (online or offline), including on the website, mobile app, and other platforms.
6. Abstracts, along with names, affiliations, and posters, may be published on the IDF World Dairy Summit 2025 website.
7. Acceptance of an abstract does not include financial support from the organizers of the IDF World Dairy Summit 2025. Authors or their representatives
must cover their own travel, accommodation, and other expenses.
8. At least one author or representative must register for the IDF World Dairy Summit 2025 to ensure the poster is displayed.
9. Selected abstracts must comply with deadlines and stages outlined in the poster process. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
10. Accepted abstracts and posters are automatically eligible for the IDF Best Poster Award of the IDF World Dairy Summit 2025.
Best Poster Award of IDF World Dairy Summit 2025
- Evaluation Criteria: Posters will be judged based on compliance with specifications, relevance to IDF's areas of interest, and originality of results.
- Selection: At the end of the process, the IDF World Dairy Summit 2025 will select the best poster from each of the eight categories, as well as the best poster of the entire session.
- Awards:
- The best poster in each of the eight categories will be recognized.
- The best overall poster will receive a prize of €1,000.
- Ceremony: The author of the winning poster must deliver an elevator pitch during the award ceremony. It is recommended that the lead author serves as the representative.
